I don't know about you, but i absolutely love those days where I don't have to cook. Today was one of those days. We went out for a meal to Nandos. The atmosphere, and the service was really great until I found something which LOOKED like a nail in my teeth-- AFTER I finished my food. Let me tell you, I was ready to be sick in my own mouth. I showed it to the staff, and they all started panicking and quickly got the manager. The manager then later reassured me that it wasn't actually a nail (even though one of the guys who worked there told me it was) but anyway, she was really, really nice and I believed her in the end. Even though I know what I saw, the manager handled the situation very well, and she was a kind babe, and gave us desert on the house, as she wouldn't take no for an answer.

The bottom line is-- I don't think I'll be going back there again, as much as I like their chicken. The Mister wasn't impressed either, as he's not the type to cause a scene. I just wanted to make sure that someone's disgusting nail wasn't in my food. Apparently it was from the sauce or the rice. I'll never know.

Anyway-- after that we went to some shops to get some bits and bobs and ended up in Primark. How cute is this darling pyjamas my bambino is wearing? I can't cope with all the cuteness. He really needed these in his life. They were really cheap, so I thought, why not?!

Oh and BTW- does anyone else go shopping for themselves and end up getting nothing but always something for their child? Surely I can't be the only one!

I am in love with this season. I love the Christmas lights all over town and the German market (even though the one in Birmingham will forever have my heart) but yeah, basically everything looks better in the dark. And a lot prettier. And people are actually happy and smiling for once!

So last night, my little bambino and I took our favourite person for a pizza date for his birthday, as he was working on his actual birth day. On Saturdays in our house, we have pizza. Without a fail. So it was only right.

...with Christmas approaching, everyone's running around like headless chickens, trying to get their Christmas shopping out of the way. As you can imagine, the centre was packed, and the same for the restaurants. Every single one of them was choca block! So we decided to go to the quiet bit of town and found good old Pizza Express. Finally! We got a table so fast my eyes nearly popped out its socket! We were SO hungry and at this point just wanted to be fed asap, but it felt like they were taking ten years with our food.

After we spent hours in Pizza Express, stuffing our faces, we went to see the Christmas lights being put on by this Danny dude. I don't really know who he is. All I know is that he's in hollyoakes, which I don't watch. Why couldn't they bring back Robin Thicke?

There was quite a bit happening in the Riverside too. All the singing and the fireworks on top of the Oracle car park. Overall, we had a great night. This is definitely the season to be jolly, haha! I'm also so thankful for a well behaved baby, who just loves waving and smiling at every person he comes in contact with. You can tell he's my son.

How was your weekend? What did you all get up to?

Sniffly babe

With the season changing, my little babes immune system is under attack, hard. He's had a dry cough and a cold for just over 3 days now, and it's heartbreaking to see him coughing and not being able to breathe through his nose which leads him to waking up in the middle of the night feeling uncomfortable!

I went to Morrisons (as you do) and searched for something that could help him sleep better without having to give him calpol as I want to keep it as natural as possible. This lovely lady helped me pick this 'snuffle babe vapour rub' and it's worked its magic.

I rubbed a little bit on his chest, his back, his throat and his feet and then put socks on them. It's not as bad as it was couple of days ago, in fact, it's slowly going. Deep down in my heart, I'm happy that my sniffly babe is getting better and that I get to wave goodbye to those late sleepless nights.

I would definitely recommend this product if your babe is under the weather. The tub is very tiny but it's well worth £2.48 which isn't a lot, especially when it makes a massive difference to your babes breathing and sleep.

disclaimer: I have not been paid by Morrisons to write this good review.

Picture hoarder!!!

What are your plans for tonight? I got so caught up with life that I totally forgot that it's bonfire night tonight. The same thing happened last year, sorry 5th of November. You are really hard to remember. Especially when you become a working Mum with a little babe who's in bed by 7pm. Ha! I used to go and watch the fireworks with my friends when I was younger, and it was just the best. I would love for my babe to experience it when he's a little bit older.

So I'm sat here drinking tea, attempting to clear my camera role because I'm such a picture hoarder, and it just hit me so hard that 2015 is only around the corner. Can someone tell me where this year has gone?

Also, is there such thing as a throwback on a Wednesday because I came across these precious pictures on my camera roll and I can't get myself to delete any. It was my nieces 3rd birthday and I miss this day so much. It's a real tradition of ours, spending birthdays together. Every year we have two joint birthdays. Isn't that just amazing? We don't go crazy on birthdays, we keep it so simple. Simple is always the best.

I hope I'm not the only one who is a picture hoarder. My memory is always full and it takes me months and months to delete one photo. Is that a bit weird? Ha!

Enjoy your night and be safe! xx
