Gratitude

I was watching something with the Mister and it got me thinking...

We as human beings are always complaining. Whether it's about our lives or the weather. We don't realize that some people have got it worse than others. We focus so much on the negatives happening in our lives that often we forget that we actually have so much to be grateful for.

So here are 16 things I'm grateful for.

1. I'm grateful for my sight. Even though I have to wear contacts/ glasses, and I complain about how blind I am, I am grateful for at least seeing.

2. I'm grateful for my hearing.

3. I'm grateful for my health.

4. I'm grateful for the food that we have in our home.

5. I'm grateful that we get to sleep in a warm, comfortable bed at night.

6. I'm grateful for both of my legs and my feet that take me everywhere.

7. I'm grateful that god chose me to be the mother to my beautiful son.

8. I'm grateful that my son is healthy and happy.

9. I'm grateful that we have a roof over our head.

10. I'm grateful to live in a very friendly neighbourhood.

11. I'm grateful for my family.

12. I'm grateful for my incredible best friends.

13. I'm grateful that I'm able to read, and write.

14. I'm grateful that I'm alive.

15. I'm grateful for the money that we have so that we can pay our bills and also knowing that we can do something as a family.

16. I'm grateful for my hard working, selfless, loving mister who is ever so patient with me.

So today, I want you all to be grateful for all the positive things happening in your lives. Let's wake up and think about those unfortunate ones. Those that have less than us, who still remain to find happiness in their lives.

Ps. Tell me what you're grateful for?

a quick update

How on earth has it already been a month since my bambino's birthday. It feels like we were only celebrating him yesterday! Here's a quick update...

He loves bath time, screams when you get him out. Attached to that teddy in the picture that isn't even his (it's my little niece Duran's, and when she finds out she'll probably go crazy haha. She's a little diva) he calls him 'ted' hugs him all the time and takes him everywhere he goes in the house. Apparently I only get hugs when I pretend to cry but first he'll cry with me and take my hand of my face, what a little sweetheart. If he's hungry or wants to show me something, he'll drag me by my hand haha. If he does something naughty, and I tell him off, he'll smile and laugh (con artist, but a cute one). He loves books but sometimes I catch him nibbling on them. Did I mention how much he loves food?! Food is definitely the way to his heart. Give him food and you'll be his best friend. I am loving this age with all my heart. I can't believe how fast it's all going. I love love this boy, he's just thee best, and I'm so glad I get to call him mine.

Enjoy your weekend, friends! xxo

Motivational Monday

*Picture above is from Pinterest*

Happy Monday friends!!!!

I know a lot of people hate Mondays with a passion, but to be fair...I love Mondays. It's a new start to the week and to be honest, I never really understood why anyone would hate that because this is how I see it.... It's the perfect opportunity for a fresh start. Why wouldn't anyone want that? It's all so simple, have a better attitude than every single person that you come in contact with today. Be that person that faces their fear and don't sweat the small stuff. Start your day off on a positive and go out there to make it count. Be a yes person in everything that you do. When was the last time you spoke to someone that you don't know personally? We come in contact with strangers every single day. I don't know about you, but i smile at every single person that I come in contact with, or even say a simple 'Hello, how're you?'. So how about you change things up a little bit today and actually compliment a stranger, or even smile at them. Can you imagine how much of a difference it makes when someone smiles at you? It makes you feel good about yourself right? And that's exactly what you're doing. You're making that stranger feel good about themselves. We do like to be noticed after all. You never know...You might actually learn a thing or two from that stranger that you speak to today. So are you going to follow the crowd today and let the world know how you 'hate' Mondays Or are you going to make today count and be the best person that you can be? Separate yourselves from all the negatives that you might face today and have a great day you guys! xxo

We live for the weekends!

This weekend was well deserved. After being away for nearly 3 weeks, we finally reunited with our darling papa! It has been the longest, and the hardest of all. I mean, we've never been away from each other for that long, but it feels SO good to be back home in my Misters arms! Home is where he's at! I mean, don't get me wrong, I loved spending time with my family..especially my Mum and my sisters, none stop belly laughing but in my mind, I couldn't help but wish time away because after being there for so long... I got home sick and as corny as it may sound... Home is definitely where the heart is.

Bambino and I  got on our train around 1 O'clock ish yesterday, and got into reading about an hour and a half later. We went to the Misters office and got all the hugs and kisses we've been missing out on and later went out for a late lunch in Ask Italian. We love that restaurant. It's one of our favourites to go to. I am really boring when it comes to food and also very indecisive. I literally only order the same thing every time I go there. Pizza is what my heart knows. It can never disappoint me. And trust me, this pizza was so satisfying, even though it's only basic. I used to get another one with prawns but they've stopped doing that. Boohoo. The mister had lasagna and little mr bambino had some of our food. He was playing with it most of the time though.

And today, well...let me tell you that Sundays are our favourite! We live and breathe Sundays. I missed our morning routine. The mister wakes up with the babe and they have their bonding session whilst I get to have another 15 minutes in bed. We ate breakfast, talked, played with the babe and napped together because that's what Sundays are about, right?  So I'm gonna end this post with a bit of corn on the side. I'm not too keen on PDA, but today, I don't care. I love this man. He melts my heart every time. I don't think I've ever met anyone as patient as he is towards my crazy self, and for that I am SO grateful for having him in our lives.

I hope you all had a fabulous weekend, friends. Get excited for the week ahead of you! xxo

the toddler life!

*fyi he was just chilling in the car

Yesterday marked a year since we moved to Reading. My son was only two weeks old, and now that he's a one year old, he does these cute things that I never want to forget, and always want to remember. So I've decided to write 10 things that I can think of right now on why  being one years old awesome - minus the teething btw!

1. My son has turned into the most sweetest little todd. He is constantly either hanging or hiding behind my legs. I find it SO cute. He does it when I'm about to go somewhere (literally hangs of my legs) or hides behind them when he's just being cute or shy... I can't help but turn into a mushy mush mush when he does that, especially when he's also saying 'mamaamamamamamama.

2. When I laugh, he laughs with me or if I'm having a conversation with someone he will walk fast towards me and then laugh with us and then go back to what he was doing before. The face he pulls when he does that is absolutely hilarious. He literally scrunches up his face and laughs. He also laughs when I'm being serious so he can get away with things...I don't know who he thinks he is.

3. He'll stare at people and when he realises he's been caught, he'll smile at them.

4. He's started to mimic and repeat after my siblings or people even...and tries to have a full on conversations with them. Most of the time, he'll repeat the exact word someone is saying, which causes my ears to fall off cause I'm just like wait what?! When did this happen?!

5. If he REALLY likes you, he'll give you a knee hug.

6. He loves walking but prefers to walk without shoes on so I always catch him trying to take his shoes off. Silly boy.

7. Oh yeah, if you've got food, this guy is and will be your best of friend forever without a doubt. He's all there hugging you and hinting to have some of whatever you're having.

8. When he's playing with his cars - his face says it all...please do not disturb me, otherwise he'll literally get up and walk away LOL.

9. He realised that the fake crying no longer works on me so when he does it for a second he quickly changes it to a laugh. A fake one.

10. When I'm fixing the bed or my sisters, and he sees pillows on the floor, he'll rest his head on it in the middle of the room. I can't breathe with this child of mine. He's just so funny!

Happy first day of October friends! Xoxo
