"A portrait of my son, once a week, every week, in 2014."

I love how you find everything funny. Even when I tell you to stop grinding your teeth because it makes me cringe. Your laugh is the absolute best. I love you, my love.

"A portrait of my son, once a week, every week, in 2014."

So this week, papa and I have witnessed you standing up on your own with no support. You haven't quite found the balance yet and ended up dropping but I can just picture you starting to walk very soon.

yesterday..

When you have a cranky teething babe, the best thing to do is, to go out and take him for a walk. A long one that is. I promise you, you'll both feel so much better after. Nothing better than fresh air. That's exactly what we did yesterday. I prepared the babes changing bag the night before and put everything we would need on that day. I'm glad I did that because the next day, I wasn't rushing around to find things. All I had to do was get us both showered and dressed. The weather was absolutely gorgeous, so it was the perfect day to go out and explore our area, as we haven't done that yet. We got stopped by strangers quite a lot, saying how happy and smiley the babe is and we got chatting to them for a bit. We even met a lovely elderly woman who loved the babe so much that she gave him a brand new toy that was supposed to be for her grandson, I mean, that's just pure kindness. He was talking to her and smiling at her the whole time whilst eating the toy she gave him. Silly boy. After that, we went a little bit further out and found this beautiful big field. The big kids were there playing football, so we took a seat at a bench and soaked in some sun. The babe was watching the big kids play football, he was even cheering them on. In the end, he got so tired and took a short nap. I didn't let him out of the pram because I knew that if he got out, he'd crawl and probably eat the grass or something. I live for these kind of days. We really enjoyed ourselves and by the time we got back home, it got dark and was time for bed.

"A portrait of my son, once a week, every week, in 2014."

Dear baby boy, this morning you were such a dream. I love that when you wake up in the morning, you always have so many stories to tell us. This morning you were telling us about your night and dreams that you had. You were smiling from ear to ear. Even though this week has been really tough on you, and us, you've remained your smiley self. Wherever we go, you're forever giving strangers a reason to smile. I wish I could take all your teething pain away from you. I can't imagine the pain you're going through, and those cries are so heartbreaking to hear. Can you believe in two months time, you'll be the big ONE? Where does the time go?!

We love you so much. xxo

Lady Grey

In my family, we all love tea. We drink it like it's water. We also drink it at any time of the day. Growing up, my mum made me believe that tea is the cure for pretty much everything. You've got a headache? Drink tea. Feeling sick? Drink tea. Horrible period pains? Drink tea. So yeah, you could call us the tea heads if you want. My mum is right. Tea makes everything feel better. I have even started saying it to the Mister who doesn't even drink tea. Haha.

Twinings - Lady Grey tea is currently my fave. I never knew about it until a darling sister of mine came to visit me from Mallorca. She actually introduced me to this beautiful tea. It tastes so delicious, and smells so good. I am hooked on it.  If you haven't tried it, I suggest you go to your local supermarket. Give it a try. You might like it, and if you don't, at least you know what it tastes like!  It's my absolute favourite. I swear this is the good stuff. Let me know what you think of it!

Ps. What's your favourite tea?

"A portrait of my son, once a week, every week, in 2014."

Dear baby boy, we went for your 9 month check up yesterday. You got 60/60 for both speech and development. You're just such a lovely babe. Even though you're poorly, you're still smiling! Mama and Papa are beyond proud of you!

42 weeks today.
